~ You can call me "Rain". :3 I'm age 25. Living in the United States of America. I like to play console games and currently play Aion. I also make jewelry, write, and read (a lot). My technical work title is "Computer Engineer".

~ I first encountered Sonic when I was visiting with my parents' friends. They had a Sega Genesis and I got to play "Sonic the Hedgehog" (and "NBA Jam").

~ Love at first sight! I loved the greenery and the basic premise of kill the machines, save the wildlife. <3

~ My love of the Sonic video game franchise ended in 98 with the arrival of the Dreamcast. I love the SatAM show and enjoyed the Archie comics up until they started bringing in the Dreamcast arcs. :P My favorite characters are Espio the Chameleon (Knuckles' Chaotix version) and Bunnie Rabbot (SatAM). I'm not (and never have been) into pairings. When I was younger I used to write Sonic fan-fics for my sisters to read, but I've never posted them up and about the internet.

~ I don't participate much in fandom, sadly. I guess I mostly like to keep my childhood memories safe from teh crazy. ;)

~ Sonic has been a huge influence on my life, especially the Archie comics. All of the characters (during certain arcs, at any rate) had realistic personalities. I could relate to all of them on some level. Mostly though, they taught me how to persevere.

~ From Sonic SatAM, pilot episode "Heads or Tails":
Sally: Do you think Sonic does all those childish things just to make me mad?
Bunnie: Oh honey-pie, I think that’s just Sonic, it’s what makes him special.

“The room is generic and otherwise unnotable. Behind me, a television sits next to the way out. In front of me, a computer stands ready for command. On the screen a program runs, iMesh. A search panel is blinking, awaiting my instruction.

I start searches for whatever I think of. Quake 3, Half-Life, Star Fox, Sonic. A list of files appears for me to set aside the ones that appealed. My grace falls upon a Starfox Adventure trailor, and a Sonic fan video called One Fine Day.

I open the fan video. What curious and unexpected delights I witness. Strange incarnations of Sonic the Hedgehog. One incarnation, a television show featuring Sonic working together with many unknown woodland creatures. Another appears to be a Dragon Ball Z styled pixelated version of Sonic, duking it out with Metal while dodging strange glow-fly-bots. And yet another incarnation, a cell-shaded 3D Sonic and friends flying through the air, piering an invisible barrior and landing in a deserted city. I thought I knew about Sonic, I played the games in an emulator, and seen Sonic Underground on The Big Breakfast, I thought that's all there was...

How could I have been so wrong?” - Excerpts from the unreleasted interactive novel, 'Quest for Sonic: A Fan's Journey'
